About the role

Provide instructional services necessary to educate all students to high standards that align with district state and federal requirements guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Teach subjects aligned with district and state requirements
  • Develop and implement lesson plans based on effective teaching practices
  • Align instruction with the science of reading standards for retained grade 3 students
  • Work with retained grade 3 students as required by Indiana's Early Literacy Endorsement
  • Collaborate with other educators to support student learning

Requirements

  • Valid Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels and/or subject areas
  • Eligible to obtain an alternative teaching credential
  • Knowledge of effective practices including lesson plan development and classroom instruction
  • Ability to work with retained grade 3 students as required by Indiana's Early Literacy Endorsement
