GLAZE LINE OPERATOR - D SHIFT (NIGHTS)

About the role

Join Dal-Tile, the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States and a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries. As a Glaze Line Operator, you will operate the glaze line and inspect tile to ensure quality in the ceramic tile manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Operate the glaze line and inspect tile for quality defects.
• Monitor glaze line equipment or processes and report problems to supervisor.
• Perform hourly quality control checks to ensure tile meets specifications.
• Operate powered industrial trucks to transport glaze to and from the glaze lines.
• Follow operating procedures and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong record-keeping and listening skills.
• Ability to take accurate measurements.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.

Working Conditions

• Regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; may occasionally sit, climb, or balance.
• May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Requires close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to fumes or airborne particles.
• May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
• Works in a loud noise environment.
