About the Role
This position is responsible for the application of paint products in accordance with customer specifications and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Apply paint products in accordance with customer and Quality Management System (QMS) specifications and requirements.
- Follow and understand standard work, training guides, procedures, and acceptance criteria to meet customer requirements.
- Use paint spray equipment, sanding equipment, and various hand tools.
- Maintain and clean spray guns and related equipment.
- Follow and understand build boards and Kanban system requirements.
- Report inconsistencies and/or defects in material, product, or equipment.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating collaboratively with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
- Help the company meet its Strategic, Quality, and Safety objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of prior work experience in a related field.
- Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.).
- Familiarity with HVLP and/or electrostatic guns, pressure pots, and proportioners is a plus.
- Written and verbal communication, math, reading, and spelling skills — or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Functional & Cognitive Requirements
- Walking and standing to a significant degree.
- Working in tight spaces with areas less than 30” possible.
- Ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and/or stairs.
- Ability to lay on the floor to paint certain products correctly.
- Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending.
- Handling, feeling, and gripping required for most activities.
- Visual acuity to inspect work before and after completion.
- May be subject to internal and external environmental conditions.
- Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, communicate with visitors, and complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
