Glass Production Manager

About the role

Responsible for providing leadership to ensure employees demonstrate appropriate work skills, safety practices, quality standards, technical accuracy, efficiency and conformity to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Adept at making machine adjustments as per production demands
• Provide feedback to Plant Manager and other areas regarding potential product and/or process improvements
• Establish, implement, and ensure compliance to SOPs to guarantee that all products meet established quality criteria
• Ensures employees receive appropriate training necessary to meet and exceed job expectations
• Maintains ISO 9001 procedures and work instructions
• Follows appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) as guideline for operating and maintaining equipment
• Attend and participate in meetings with other departments to ensure optimum communication
• Visual inspections of machines for safe operations
• Record material consummation and waste
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Determines daily work priorities and adjusts work to achieve daily targets
• Communicate schedule and productivity goals to team directly or through subordinate leaders

Requirements

• 5 Years experience in a fast-paced glass manufacturing environment required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good decision maker
• Excellent team player

Qualifications

• The individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things
• The individual is consistently at work and on time, responds to Management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels of staff
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate using the English language
