Glass Machnine Mechanic

About the role

Set up, adjust, maintain and operate all glass department machinery per job needs (All Vial Lines, Inserts, Glaziers, bottomers, Roller Bed Machine, Cutter and Inter-lock). Provides proper and timely maintenance of machinery and equipment. Mechanic has primary responsibility for production and qualify on assigned equipment.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and trouble shoots mechanical or operational problems on machines
• Makes necessary corrections and adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality
• Run and provide relieving of bottomer machines and printer as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must possess mechanical and electrical skills as well as the ability to trouble shoot machinery
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must adhere to and promote safety rules
• Interpersonal skills – the individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas, and exhibits willingness to try new things
• Dependability – the individual is consistently at work and on time, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
• Adaptability – the individual adapts to changes in work environment with ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels of staff
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Pay & Schedule

• Starts at $21.60/hr
• Mon–Thurs (3:15pm–1:45am) – 4-10hr shift
