Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for approximately 200 employees using Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and month-end adjustments in support of the general ledger.
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support month-end close activities, including preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.
- Reconcile payroll taxes and assist with W-2 processing to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
- Monitor fixed assets and maintain depreciation schedules in accordance with accounting standards.
- Record daily cash receipts and cash transactions to support accurate cash management and reporting.
- Administer company credit card reconciliations and ensure proper coding and documentation of expenses.
- Aid in internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and maintaining strong internal controls.
- Collaborate with a tight-knit accounting and finance team to improve processes and support the company’s growth.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organization while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of general ledger (GL) accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliation.
- Demonstrated experience supporting month-end close processes.
- Knowledge of payroll tax reporting and related compliance requirements.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience using Paylocity for payroll processing.
- Experience using Sage or similar accounting software for general ledger and financial reporting.
- Comfort working in a small, growing company environment with direct visibility to leadership.
- Interest in gaining exposure to both payroll and broader accounting functions, including fixed assets and treasury.
- Commitment to maintaining strong internal controls and supporting audit requirements.

Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55,000.00 - $70,000.00/yr. Benefits package can be provided.
Schedule
This role is fully on-site, Monday through Friday, with standard hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Harrisburg, PA.
