About the role

The GIS & Database Coordinator/Systems Administrator oversees and maintains the Town Geographic Information System (GIS) and provides system support for municipal projects, programs, and other related work.

Responsibilities

  • Frequent contact with other Town departments, elected officials, residents, and others on complex, sensitive, and confidential matters.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, including patience, courtesy, discretion, and tact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, computer science, geography, cartography, planning, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of technical expertise in GIS management and database implementation.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of GIS software and database systems.
  • Experience with municipal project management and program support.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Pay

The anticipated pay range for this position is $43.00 – $46.00 per hour.

Schedule

The work schedule is 14 hours per week. Starting pay is based on qualifications.
