GIS Analyst – Marine Species + Conservation Planning
Key Responsibilities
- Develop spatial analyses for ESA consultations
- Support critical habitat designations
- Analyze AIS vessel traffic data
- Maintain sea turtle and marine mammal GIS databases
- Develop spatial tools for stranding visualization
- Produce publication-ready maps for Federal Register documents
Education, Knowledge, and Skills Required
- BS in GIS, geography, environmental science, or related field
- 2–3+ years GIS experience
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro
- Experience with spatial data analysis
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Marine species distribution modeling
- Python or R for geospatial analysis
- Experience supporting federal rulemaking
