About the Role
The Girls Varsity Assistant Wrestling Coach will support the head coach in all aspects of the program, including practices, competitions, athlete development, team supervision, and program growth.
Requirements
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
- Valid New York State coaching certification or National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) coaching certification
- Previous wrestling or coaching experience preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Commitment to providing a safe, positive, and supportive environment for all student-athletes
Qualifications
To begin coaching, candidates must have a background in the sport and meet the following documentation requirements:
- Certified Teachers Will Need:
- CPR/AED with First Aid (NYSED approved) – CPR LINKS
- Concussion Protocol – NFHS
- Non-teacher Applicants Will Need:
- Active Coaching license in hand
- Or all pieces uploaded into TEACH account minus the Board Recommendation
ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE LICENSED/ALL CERTIFICATIONS COMPLETED
