Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience in the sport
- Coaching experience
- High school level coaching experience
- First Aid/CPR certification
- NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certification
- NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest certification
- NFHS Concussion in Sports certification
- NFHS Heat and Illness prevention certification
- Verification of freedom from Tuberculosis
- Verification of I-9 Employment Eligibility
Position Details
- Season begins in June and runs through November
- Some off-season activities expected
- Assistant coach receives a stipend at the end of the season
- Must be willing and able to work with NHS staff, student athletes, parents, administration, and NHS Athletic Booster Club
- Basic knowledge of character-building aspects of sports, coaching principles, physical capacities and limitations, and sports rules and strategies
