GIM Academic Inpatient Physician
Duties
In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in the teaching of medical students and residents. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, it is expected that candidates sustain an outstanding, extramurally supported research program.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
- Eligible to obtain an unrestricted state medical license
- Completed an accredited internal medicine residency program at the time of appointment
- For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required
About the Role
The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek General Internal Medicine physician qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. This position will focus primarily on academic inpatient internal medicine with a small outpatient component.
