Description

The Gastroenterologist Hospitalist position at SGMC Health is a hospital-based employment opportunity. SGMC Health is a comprehensive health system serving South Georgia and North Florida, operating four hospitals in Lowndes, Berrien, and Lanier counties. The system also provides ambulance services, medical offices, a cancer center, hospice, retirement center, skilled nursing facility, imaging centers, and urgent care facilities. Key service lines include heart and vascular, stroke, trauma, cancer, orthopedics, surgery, and women and infants.

Qualifications

• Board eligible/certified in Gastroenterology
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Georgia
• Must be able to perform ERCP, EUS recommended
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team and with referring physicians
• Passionate about quality, service excellence, safety, process improvement, program development, and team building
• Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record is a significant plus
• Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to create a positive and productive environment that promotes collegiality and innovation in all settings
