About the role
The Gift Shop Supervisor, Buyer is responsible for overseeing the operations of the gift shop, including inventory management, customer service, and product selection. This position also involves managing relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the gift shop, ensuring smooth and efficient service to customers.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering products, and maintaining stock.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure availability of products and negotiate terms.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures related to gift shop operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in retail management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail management or a similar field.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
