Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manages the Main Shrine Gift Shop, Kiosk, and other designated satellite locations and employees.
- Conducts inventory management and transactions, and analyzes sales reports in the Counterpoint retail system.
- Oversees Counterpoint software and hardware upgrades and training of staff in 2026.
- Strategizes with the Rector and Operations Manager on marketing strategies, retail brick-and-mortar space optimization, and online expansion plans.
- Analyzes retail inventory metrics for best item procurement ROI.
- Safeguards shelves and maintains an orderly appearance.
- Complies with established security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures and practices.
- Conducts periodic and annual inventory audits.
- Relays inventory levels and documents to the Supply Procurement Coordinator; participates in periodic supply planning meetings.
- Affords recruiting of sales associates, performs onboarding and training of new associates, while promoting a team environment.
- Maintains a neat, clean, and organized shop appearance through periodic dusting and sweeping.
- Contacts IT support services as required when desktop or POS systems are malfunctioning.
- Writes the Gift Shop employee schedule, aligning optimal workforce coverage with Shrine events and peak sales opportunities.
- Serves as a visible leader to his/her team, greets customers, and conducts customer transactions when needed.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- The ability to respect, promote, accommodate, and not be in conflict with the mission, moral and social teachings, doctrines, and laws of the Roman Catholic faith.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
- Must have at least five (5) years of supervisory and leadership experience.
- Must have a collaborative style; proven team builder with effective employee-relations skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams through recognition, participation, and delegation.
- A leadership style that is approachable, engaging, as well as results and action-oriented.
- Strong supply chain management, planning, and organizational cross-functional skills.
Required Education And Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
- Must have at least five (5) years of supervisory and leadership experience.
