Gift Shop Associate - Sanford Medical Center - Weekends

Schedule

Weekend PRN schedule. Varying Saturdays & Sundays, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm. Weekly hours vary.

Pay

Salary range: $15.00 – $22.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Greet all customers and provide a high level of customer service in the gift shop. Responsible for selling merchandise, cashier and inventory management, and supporting day‑to‑day activities.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the gift shop.
• Ring up sales, handle money, and make change.
• Assist customers and deliver gifts to patient/resident rooms.
• Stock merchandise, perform light stocking, and visually merchandise displays.
• Maintain cleanliness of the gift shop.
• Operate a helium tank.
• Check‑in freight, determine retail pricing, and receive POS system inventory, affecting inventory management.
• Communicate effectively with customers and co‑workers.
• Provide support in day‑to‑day gift shop activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service and sales (desired).
• Knowledge of operating a cash register and making change.
• Ability to provide work direction to volunteers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Windows.
