GI Therapeutic Technician | GI Lab | 0.7 FTE | Days

About the role

Lovely and dedicated to providing medical care, Gundersen Health System seeks a part-time GI Therapeutic Technician. This role offers the chance to work in the picturesque Coulee Region, doing what you love.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for GI procedures
• Aid physicians during endoscopic procedures
• Ensure equipment is properly sterilized and operational

Requirements

• Two years of health care experience in an Endoscopy tech or Surgical Tech role
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a relevant program with current certification or license
• Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMA, or NRCMA)
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (AHA or American Red Cross)

Qualifications

• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands-on learning)
• 0.7 FTE, 56 hours bi-weekly
• Rotation between 8 and 9 hour day shifts
• Hours range from 6:30am to 5:30 pm Monday-Friday
• Call shifts are once a week and every 5th weekend, dependent on staffing
• Call is 5:30pm to 7:00am
• Weekend call is Friday 5:30pm to Monday 7:00am
