GI Tech (Sanford GI)

About the role

The GI Technologist at Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) applies surgical technology skills to assist in providing patient care in the Endoscopy suite. This position works four (4), ten (10) hour shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Captures and organizes supplies and instruments prior to the procedure.
• Assists in preparing the patient, assembling supplies, instruments, and equipment as well as disposing of all specimens.
• Provides the GI Doctor with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment in a timely manner.
• Aids in room turnover and instrument/equipment processing.
• Assists with patient positioning according to departmental policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Preferred: Certification from NBSTSA, NCCT, or NHA.
• Previous experience as a GI Technologist preferred.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, policies, and protocols desired.

Pay

The position pays hourly (non-exempt).

Schedule

The shift is a Day Shift (Monday through Friday) with no weekends or holidays.
