About the role

The role of Procurement Manager contributes directly to the company's mission of developing and deploying renewable power plants to make universal access to renewable energy possible worldwide. As a Procurement Manager, you will work closely with the local sales team and represent the project management team throughout the procurement process and contractual negotiation phases.

Responsibilities

• Led the negotiation of contracts related to project management issues, both virtually and in person with clients.
• Provided internal project review teams with risk identification, analysis, and evaluation (sales validation process) and ensured measures to mitigate risks were implemented during client contract negotiations.
• Provided cost calculations to support project execution schedules and related topics such as wind turbine installation, crane works.
• Delivered detailed project updates to execution teams.
• Supported clients and business owners BOP with project management-related inquiries during the sales phase.
• Represented Nordex to clients – establishing a good relationship with the client and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Other reasonable tasks related to the domain, as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in sales engineering, project management, business management, or relevant experience.
• More than 5 years of professional experience in comparable roles, including full responsibility for contracts worth several million dollars and solid commercial and financial knowledge.
• Negotiation experience in contracts necessary (preferably in similar sectors).
• Experience in project management or construction site heavy-lift work is advantageous (preferably in the wind energy sector and/or in key-in-hand projects).
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proactive, capable of critical and independent thinking.
• Motivated to find creative solutions to complex problems.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
• Professional attitude and courteous behavior.
• Strong software skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel up to 25% to the US, Canada, and Germany.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to obtain a valid passport.
• Must be able to work in Canada without employer sponsorship and have the ability to travel to the US for training.
• Must meet all pre-employment screening requirements.
• The ability to drive safely is an essential function of this position. The candidate must have a valid driver's license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. Periodic driving record checks will confirm continued insurability.

Pay

The salary for this position is not subject to overtime and ranges between $155 and $190 CAD, with a bonus that may reach 15%. Individual compensation is determined based on various factors specific to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications, and other factors related to the position.
