German Translator
About the role
As a translator at Epic, you'll apply your extensive language skills to clearly and accurately translate a wide range of documentation, training materials, and software for a world leader in electronic medical records technology. Your input will help shape our localization efforts, quality assurance, and terminology maintenance. Translators are given a high degree of autonomy and independence, and are responsible for managing and executing important translation projects. You'll be actively involved in our clinical, administrative and financial products and work closely with our implementation, technical support and sales teams to produce innovative software for German-speaking healthcare organizations.
Responsibilities
- Translate documentation, training materials, and software from English into German
- Contribute to localization strategy, quality assurance, and terminology maintenance
- Manage and execute translation projects independently
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, financial, implementation, technical support, and sales teams
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
- Ability to ensure translation maintains appropriate feeling, tone, and style
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- COVID-19 vaccination
- Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
Qualifications
- Experience translating from American English into German strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Epic software is not required—we will train you
