German Translator
About the role
As a translator at Epic, you’ll apply your extensive language skills to clearly and accurately translate a wide range of documentation, training materials, and software for a world leader in electronic medical records technology. Your input will help shape our localization efforts, quality assurance, and terminology maintenance. Translators are given a high degree of autonomy and independence, and are responsible for managing and executing important translation projects. You’ll be actively involved in our clinical, administrative and financial products and work closely with our implementation, technical support and sales teams to produce innovative software for German-speaking healthcare organizations.
Responsibilities
- Translate a wide range of documentation, training materials, and software from American English into German
- Ensure translations maintain appropriate feeling, tone and style
- Collaborate with the implementation, technical support and sales teams to produce innovative software
- Manage and execute important translation projects
- Work closely with the localization team to improve terminology and quality assurance
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
- Strong preference for experience translating from American English into German
- Ability to ensure translations maintain appropriate feeling, tone and style
- No prior experience with Epic software is required, as training will be provided
Qualifications
- Passionate about healthcare and technology
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
