German Tax Consultant - Steuerberater

About the role

We are seeking a German Tax Consultant (Steuerberater) to join our dynamic firm. Our services cater to the unique needs of foreign-owned businesses in the U.S., with a strong presence in the German-speaking community.

Responsibilities

• Work on challenging projects and advise clients independently
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration with auditors
• Prepare tax returns, technical memos, and opinions
• Participate in international transactions and implement design and implementation strategies
• Gain experience in audit and potentially pass the US CPA exam

Requirements

• Successfully completed a degree in business management, economics, or a related field
• Finalized the tax consultant exam
• At least 3 years of practical work experience in tax
• Exceptional English speaking and writing skills
• Self-motivated and highly motivated by teamwork
• Interested in working with international middle market and entrepreneurial companies

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of practical work experience in tax
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Knowledge of international business practices

Pay

The base pay range for positions in Chicago, Manhattan, and Denver metropolitan areas is $90,000-$150,000/year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Schedule

Our office hours are standard business hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work required for project deadlines.
