Geriatric Mental Health Counselor

Role: Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing behavioral health services to seniors in various care settings. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' mental health needs.Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans.Deliver individual and group psychotherapy sessions onsite and via telehealth.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and facility partners to address mood, anxiety, and adjustment issues.Enhance residents’ quality of life through therapeutic interventions.Support staff education and promote mental health awareness within the care environment. Qualifications & Skills Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor.Experience in behavioral health, preferably with seniors or in long-term care settings.Strong assessment, clinical, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.Comfort with telehealth platforms and group facilitation.
