Role Overview

Seeking a compassionate physician leader to serve as Medical Director for the Mobile Acute Care for the Elderly (MACE) program, providing hospital-level care to older Veterans in their homes. The role involves clinical leadership, overseeing an interdisciplinary team, and guiding program development, quality initiatives, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight for the MACE program
• Support interdisciplinary teams delivering acute care at home
• Ensure regulatory and VA compliance
• Apply geriatric care principles to improve patient safety and outcomes
• Collaborate with inpatient, outpatient, and emergency teams

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, with geriatrics preferred
• Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
• Experience in geriatrics, acute care, or home-based care
• Leadership experience is advantageous
