Geothermal Drill Rig Operator

About the role

K2 Construction is a locally owned and operated company in Lincoln, Nebraska, that has been in business since 2001. K2 Geothermal, a subsidiary, was established in 2009 and is now Nebraska's largest geothermal contractor.

Responsibilities

• Minimum of 1 year experience drilling wells preferred
• Experience with geothermal drilling procedures and closed loop systems a plus
• Rigs are top head drive, Schramm knowledge preferred
• Out of town and out of state travel is required
• Mechanical and/or welding skills helpful

Requirements

• All work is performed outside in heat, cold, and inclement weather
• Exposure to all elements of nature
• Exposure to all types of terrain
• Exposure to loud noise
• Exposure to fumes, odors, gasses, dusts, etc.
• Work in close proximity to heavy traffic

Physical Requirements

• Standing
• Walking
• Climbing, stooping and bending
• Periodic lifting of 10 to 50 pounds
• Duties may require working from heights

Pay

Hourly wage is negotiable based upon experience.
