Drill Rig Operator

Responsibilities

• Operates a Drilling Machine to complete tasks such as drilling rock, shale, and/or other materials
• Stops and starts portable air compressor
• Maintain equipment by oiling, greasing, servicing, and making normal maintenance adjustments
• Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
• Completes paperwork and other documentation as required
• May be exposed to vibration associated with equipment operation; jolts and vibrations may result from operating equipment; loud noise when operating equipment
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of operating experience preferred
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
