Geotechnical Drill Rig Operator

About the role

Located in Superior, WI, enjoy running a rig, troubleshooting equipment, and working in the field? An established testing and engineering organization is hiring an experienced driller to operate equipment and help lead daily crew work on geotechnical and environmental investigations. Work alongside project managers and engineers on varied regional projects, with opportunities to develop your skills through training and mentorship. Expect 50–60 hours most weeks. The reporting base is near the listed posting location; its exact location will be shared during the recruiting process.

Responsibilities

• Run drilling equipment safely on investigation sites.
• Recover samples, carry out field tests, and document results.
• Prepare equipment for transport and handle inspections and maintenance.
• Coordinate daily field work with crew members and project staff.
