Geotechnical Lab Technician

The mission

The mission of a Geotechnical Laboratory Technician at HVJ North Texas is to support Project Managers, the Laboratory Manager, and engineering staff in delivering high-quality geotechnical testing services that meet client expectations, industry standards, and company quality objectives.

Responsibilities

• Conducting geotechnical laboratory testing
• Managing and maintaining soil samples
• Supporting quality management systems
• Accurately documenting test results
• Assisting with engineering projects

Requirements

Viable candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Experience in geotechnical laboratory testing is preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for occasional travel to client sites.

Qualifications

Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to safety protocols. Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software is necessary.
