Geotechnical Field Professional

Job Summary

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking a Geotechnical Field Professional in Alliance, OH. The position involves providing higher-level task support to the Construction Observation and Testing (COT) group, including observing and documenting construction activities, preparing daily field reports, and assisting in the preparation of geotechnical reports.

Responsibilities

• Observe and document construction activities to assure compliance with technical specifications
• Prepare daily field reports and test summaries documenting the work being performed
• Aid in the preparation of geotechnical reports
• Perform routine calculations, including settlement, bearing capacity, lateral earth pressures, slope stability, etc., under the training of senior staff
• Provide a variety of other observation and testing services for geotechnical and environmental development projects as you support geologists, engineers, and scientists for a diverse client base in the private and public sectors

Requirements

• Own a reliable vehicle and have a good driving record
• Like working with people and enjoying working outdoors
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study; EIT preferred
• Valid Drivers License and your own reliable transportation are required
