Field Geotechnical Professional

Responsibilities

  • Cook and manage drilling projects
  • Coordinate and review laboratory testing
  • Prepare geotechnical reports, or pertinent sections thereof
  • Perform routine calculations, including settlement, bearing capacity, lateral earth pressures, slope stability, etc.
  • Design and prepare construction plans for retaining walls and other structures under the supervision of senior staff
  • Perform observation and testing services for geotechnical and construction observation and testing projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology required; EIT preferred
  • Own Transportation, valid driver's license and Good Driving Record
  • Willing and able to work the hours necessary to meet the demands of the workload or to complete any assigned projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Slide2 and VESPA design software experience preferred
