Geotechnical Field Engineer (EIT) - Salary + OT

About the role

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a Geotechnical Field Engineer to manage various geotechnical projects based in Kennesaw, GA.

Responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining geotechnical testing equipment
• Classifying soil, rock, and geological samples obtained from drilling operations
• Aid in developing the scope and budget of work for routine projects
• Analyze data, perform engineering calculations and analysis, and report data to clients under the direction of a Professional Engineer
• Interact with clients and project teams
• Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field is required
• 0 - 3 years of relevant experience (entry-level positions may be considered)
• E.I.T. certification required or must be able to obtain within 3 months
• Strong communication skills
