Geotechnical Engineering Intern - Fall 2026

About the role

We are seeking a geotechnical/geological engineering intern to join our consulting team in Tucson, AZ. This role involves office tasks such as data reduction using stereographic, statistical, and geospatial analyses, as well as technical reporting of field and lab work.

Laboratory activities include soil and rock strength testing, with potential involvement in local field work like site characterization, geologic/geotechnical mapping, and geomechanical core logging.

Responsibilities

• Perform data reduction using stereographic, statistical, and geospatial analyses
• Prepare technical reports of field and lab work
• Conduct soil and rock strength testing in the laboratory
• Participate in local field work, including site characterization, geologic/geotechnical mapping, and geomechanical core logging

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in geology, geological engineering, geotechnical engineering, or mining engineering
• 0-5 years of experience
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Schedule

This is a part-time position, up to 30 hours per week, during normal business hours.
