About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer capable of managing geotechnical aspects of projects, performing geotechnical analyses, providing geotechnical and foundation recommendations, and offering geotechnical guidance during construction.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver quality geotechnical services on-time and within budget
- Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plan details, and designs for projects
- Serve as a technical resource on a multi-discipline team
- Prepare and manage subsurface exploration programs
- Prepare cost estimates, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals
- Coordinate and ensure completeness and accuracy of design effort
- Use design software to prepare engineering recommendations
- Participate in Design/Build efforts, consulting with contractor/construction personnel about constructability, cost, field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling of construction activities
- Work on-site for clients or in a project office when needed
- Participate in project scoping, fee estimating, proposal preparation, and interviews
- Perform design calculations and conduct investigations toward design recommendations and development of contract documents (plans, specifications, and estimates)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree specializing in Geotechnical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
- 11–15 years of experience in geotechnical design
- Experience with static and dynamic load testing (highly desired)
- Field experience relating to site grading, slope stabilization, retaining wall, and foundation construction (highly desired)
- Professional Engineer Certification required
- Design Build experience preferred
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employment-based visa sponsorship

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $140,000 – $215,000. The specific compensation offered may vary based on factors including relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and experience.
