About the role

Stephenson Operations is recruiting a PROJECT GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER for a client's team.

Responsibilities

• Involved in soils Geotechnical interpretation.
• Responsible for data quality (processing data, data entry).
• Responsible for laboratory tests (checking, correcting, assigning).
• Accountable for reports (laboratory, interpretative & engineering reports).
• Checking Geotechnical analyses.
• Performing engineering analyses.
• Responsible for liaison with the Client and other stakeholders.
• Directing subcontractors.
• Affixing field reporting and ground model building, as required.

Requirements

• You have a degree in Earth Sciences, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
• You have previous experience with a Ground Investigation contractor.
• You are capable of working with spreadsheets, SharePoint and are computer literate.
• You are able to generate a safe and quality-based culture within the offshore and onshore team.
• You are a great communicator verbally and written.
• You are a good team player and able to form working relationships with Clients and colleagues at all levels.

Qualifications

• You must have Knowledge of the main geotechnical sampling techniques (e.g. VC, CPT, Borehole, TRT).
• You must have Good ability to write reports in English.
• Past experience with Bentley gINT software is preferred.
• You must be a Self-starter, motivated and target oriented, does not need supervision.
• You must have Experience with offshore, nearshore and onshore geotechnical investigations.
• You must have Knowledge of soil and rock description and testing and reporting.
• You must have Good knowledge of geology and soil mechanics.
• You must have Knowledge of Sequent Openground software is a nice to have.
