Job Summary
About the role
Stephenson Operations is recruiting a PROJECT GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER for a client's team.
Responsibilities
- Involved in soils Geotechnical interpretation.
- Responsible for data quality (processing data, data entry).
- Responsible for laboratory tests (checking, correcting, assigning).
- Accountable for reports (laboratory, interpretative & engineering reports).
- Checking Geotechnical analyses.
- Performing engineering analyses.
- Responsible for liaison with the Client and other stakeholders.
- Directing subcontractors.
- Affixing field reporting and ground model building, as required.
Requirements
- You have a degree in Earth Sciences, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
- You have previous experience with a Ground Investigation contractor.
- You are capable of working with spreadsheets, SharePoint and are computer literate.
- You are able to generate a safe and quality-based culture within the offshore and onshore team.
- You are a great communicator verbally and written.
- You are a good team player and able to form working relationships with Clients and colleagues at all levels.
Qualifications
- You must have Knowledge of the main geotechnical sampling techniques (e.g. VC, CPT, Borehole, TRT).
- You must have Good ability to write reports in English.
- Past experience with Bentley gINT software is preferred.
- You must be a Self-starter, motivated and target oriented, does not need supervision.
- You must have Experience with offshore, nearshore and onshore geotechnical investigations.
- You must have Knowledge of soil and rock description and testing and reporting.
- You must have Good knowledge of geology and soil mechanics.
- You must have Knowledge of Sequent Openground software is a nice to have.
