Geospatial Project Manager
What You Will Do
GFT is seeking a Project Manager to support a variety of projects in the Mid Atlantic Region. This role follows a hybrid work model out of our Richmond, VA office.
What You'll Be Challenged To Do
- Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, client relationships, and team coordination.
- Lead and facilitate meetings; prepare agendas and detailed meeting minutes.
- Review and validate project deliverables for completeness and compliance.
- Direct cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, technical leads, and SMEs.
- Develop and distribute regular status reports.
- Monitor project performance and track against timelines and budgets.
- Maintain logs for action items, issues, and risks.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System processes.
- Resolve project-related issues in collaboration with internal teams and clients.
- Contribute to drafting task orders, proposal development, and business development.
- Utilize asset management tools and principles to support successful outcomes.
Education | Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S., or equivalent).
- Minimum of 6 years of project management experience, preferably in consulting or professional services.
- Current Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP).
- Strong ability to engage with personnel at all organizational levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of application and data management principles.
What We Prefer You Bring
- Experience with state or local government, particularly in transportation.
- Familiarity with GIS and geospatial technology.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
Compensation
The Salary range for this position is $94,000-$130,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
