The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for overseeing and successfully completing multiple concurrent small-scale to large-scale projects, ensuring consistency with company strategies, commitments, and goals. The PM will provide solutions to the client while working with diverse and potentially remote project teams. The PM oversees all phases of a project and is responsible for project performance through effective management of project constraints, including scope, timeline, and budget.

Responsibilities

  • Work with project teams performing remote sensing and geospatial activities
  • Coordination with data acquisition, production, and eGIS teams
  • Coordination with Account Managers
  • Manages client relationship
  • Client status reporting
  • Negotiate stakeholder requirements
  • Manages project scope, requirements, definitions, and delivery schedules
  • Change management and tracking
  • Marks project economics and budget
  • Manages and forecasts project revenue, cost, and gross margin
  • Responsible for invoicing and collections
  • Follows project management methods and best practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • Competency in procurement, negotiation, and finance
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • 3+ years’ experience in a hydrographic/geophysical survey environment and/or possessing a marine environmental background

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, geography, GIS, science, or engineering program
  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP)
  • 4+ years’ experience in a hydrographic/geophysical survey environment and/or possessing a marine environmental background
  • 2+ years’ experience in project management and leading teams
  • Risk Management Experience
  • Experience with change-management processes
  • Experience working with GIS software packages
  • Experience working with software development
