About the role
Job Type: Full-time
We build cloud-native geoscience and subsurface software for upstream oil & gas. This role involves understanding how customers store, customize, and use their data today, then turning that into a migration roadmap that de-risks the switch to the cloud. Key responsibilities include:
- Building relationships and earning trust with IT staff, data managers, DBAs, and geoscientists.
- Understanding geoscience workflows, data, and customizations.
- Identifying gaps and shaping requirements for product development.
- Migrating data from on-premises to the cloud, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Communicating effectively with sales, customer success, and product teams.
Requirements
- Strong IT and database background: SQL, relational data modeling, and hands-on experience with on-prem databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
- Solid working knowledge of upstream oil & gas / geoscience data.
- Proven ability to build relationships and trust with both technical and end-user audiences.
- Genuine self-starter who operates with autonomy and drives outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, able to navigate technical and business conversations.
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites.
