About the role

The Learning Grove Jonesboro is seeking a Georgia Pre-K Assistant Teacher to join our team. This position is responsible for supporting the classroom teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 3-5.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support the classroom teacher in implementing the curriculum and lesson plans
• Participate in daily routines and activities that promote social-emotional development, cognitive growth, and physical well-being
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the classroom
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Valid Georgia Professional Certificate or eligibility to obtain one
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, and evenings

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development theories and practices
• Experience with technology integration in the classroom
• Pass a background check
