About the role
Supports the classroom teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 3-5. Assists in implementing the Georgia Pre-K curriculum and standards. Collaborates with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and inclusive classroom environment
- Implement the Georgia Pre-K curriculum and standards
- Collaborate with other staff members to plan and implement lessons
- Support children's social-emotional development through play-based activities
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Valid Georgia Professional Certificate or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience working with young children preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, and evenings
Qualifications
- Passing scores on relevant state assessments
- Background check clear of criminal activity
Skills

- Knowledge of child development and learning theories
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
