About the role

This Opportunity WSP is currently searching for a highly experienced and motivated Geomatics Analyst to join our Midwest Region Geomatics Team. This position plays a critical role in delivering geospatial solutions across the Midwest. The preferred location for this position is St. Louis, MO, but can also be located in our other Midwest hub offices: Chicago, IL, or Kansas City, MO.

Responsibilities

  • Foster collaboration across disciplines and offices to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, inclusion, safety, and excellence within the Geomatics team.
  • Operate geomatics projects in survey, UAS or crewed aircraft, image, lidar processing, aerotriangulation, orthorectification, feature data extraction, and/or GIS.
  • Create and implement workflow and documented work instructions on critical tasks.
  • Aid in generating cost estimates, scheduling, and technical deliverables.
  • Track status and milestones across major projects and pursuits, including support from other regions.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement in geomatics practices.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance project delivery, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and subconsultants to optimize performance.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds and resources and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of related experience including any of the following roles: land surveying, lidar, remote sensing, or related field.
  • 2-3 years' experience with Revit and/or PLS CADD.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with MS Office tools.
  • Commitment to safety, ethics, and WSP’s Code of Conduct.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and be willing to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in geospatial related field.
  • Experience with the following tasks: lidar point classification, scan to BIM, UAS flight and processing, aerotriangulation, orthorectification, stereo or 2d feature extraction.
  • Experience in power and utility sectors.
  • Experience with CAD and geospatial data processing software.
  • Experience with the following applications: Esri ArcGIS Pro, TopoDOT, OpenRoads Designer, Bentley MicroStation, Autodesk Civil 3d, Terrasolid suite, Hexagon Geospatial, KLT Atlas, Trimble Business Center.
  • Industry certifications such as those from organizations like ASPRS, GISCI.

Skills

  • Geomatics expertise in survey, UAS or crewed aircraft, image, lidar processing, aerotriangulation, orthorectification, feature data extraction, and/or GIS.
  • Workflow creation and implementation.
  • Cost estimation, scheduling, and technical deliverables generation.
  • Status and milestone tracking.
  • Project delivery and quality enhancement.
  • Collaboration with internal departments and subconsultants.
  • Responsible and ethical decision-making.
