Geology Technician

Responsibilities

• Ore control support
• Sample collection and management
• Geological data collection
• Stockpile and ore destination sampling
• Effective communication of geological information

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree, technical certification, or coursework in Geology, Earth Sciences, Mining Technology, Natural Resources, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in mining, geology, ore control, drilling, sampling, laboratory operations, or related field activities preferred. Experience in openpit mining operations is preferred. Familiarity with ore control, QA/QC procedures, and sampling practices preferred.
• Knowledge and Skills: Basic understanding of geology, ore control, and mining practices. Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills. Ability to accurately collect, analyze, and document field data. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with geological databases, GPS equipment, drone data collection, and mine software systems is advantageous. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic mining environment.
