About the role

This position is responsible for the generation of oil and gas prospects, the evaluation of new and existing drilling opportunities, and the development and supervision of an active drilling program throughout the Rocky Mountain region.

Responsibilities

  • Experience in detailed geologic mapping
  • Evaluation of play potential
  • Core/well log interpretation
  • Well planning/operations
  • High volume data handling
  • Teamwork with drilling, land, regulatory, and engineering personnel
  • Prospecting in various structural and stratigraphic styles
  • Incorporation of geology and engineering data for horizontal development and reservoir evaluation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology/Geophysics; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of related oil and gas experience
  • Proven ability to incorporate geology and engineering data

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with computer-based geological applications
  • Excellent presentation skills

Skills

  • Geological and engineering data integration
  • Structural and stratigraphic style prospecting

Pay

$180,000 - $320,000 per year
