About The Position
The Clark County Information Technology Department is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Geographic Information Systems Technician I/II position. Responsibilities
- Designs detailed maps and keeps data current.
- Manages the Vote Center web application.
- Processes annexations and maintains voter registration address information.
- Masters the Elections GIS processes for voter registration.
- Engages in meaningful GIS customer service, assisting both internal departments and the public.
Requirements
- Geographic Information Systems Technician I: Equivalent to completion of an Associate's Degree OR technical school with major course work in drafting, pre-engineering, computer science or geographic studies or a closely related field. Full-time experience in digitizing data or working with geographic information system data may be substituted for the education on a year for year basis.
- Geographic Information Systems Technician II: Minimum of one (1) year of full-time technical experience in entering data and producing finished documents using a geographic information system.

Pay
- Geographic Information Systems Technician I: $26.70 - $39.50 Hourly
- Geographic Information Systems Technician II: $28.91 - $42.64 Hourly
Schedule
- This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months at either level or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.
