About the role
This position is responsible for the accurate reporting of the intrastate pipeline assets utilizing various tools including ArcPro, FileNet, customized tools, and field reporting. This includes research, modifications, and updates to pipe specifications, pipeline features, and pipeline facilities.
Responsibilities
- Use ArcGIS to create and edit linear and stationed route events by reconciling/posting versions (experience with versioned environments a plus).
- Read and use GPS surveys, ILI reports, Excel spreadsheets, and alignment sheets for Quality Control to maintain pipeline data integrity.
- Read and utilize drawings, schematics, alignment sheets, and detailed meter and compressor station drawings.
- Manage multiple tasks with a focus on pre-preparation of project information before modifying or correcting data.
- Assess Transmission and Gathering Lines, and perform Quality Control of Reroutes and As-Built data.
- Maintain database records of pipeline point and linear data, including knowledge of M values, stationing, and calculating/translating drawing measurements to accurate stationing.
- Research pipeline historical data such as material lists, completion reports, AFE/Work Order authorization, hydro tests, mill tests, and Management of Change forms and documents.
- Research archived hardcopy pipeline asset documentation through project boxes and possible field retrieval.
- Verbally communicate with Project Managers and implement CFR 192.
- Work closely with Integrity Project Managers and other internal/external customers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Degree in GIS or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of related pipeline experience.
- Knowledge and experience using ESRI Software, UPDM environment, and ArcCatalog Tools and techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write clear emails and communicate effectively with personnel.
Schedule
W2 contract position with 5 days onsite in Downtown Houston.
