Genomics Technician

Our client is looking for a talented Genomics Technician to support cutting-edge research within the Genomics Facility in Chicago, IL. This is a contract position running from August 31, 2026, to February 26, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Perform NGS sample intake, QC, and processing
• Operate advanced sequencing platforms including Illumina NovaSEQ and Element AVITI
• Run quality control instruments such as the Fragment Analyzer, Bioanalyzer, Qubit, and qPCR systems
• Support research projects through data analysis, documentation, and client communication
• Collaborate with researchers, students, and laboratory staff on innovative genomics initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field
• Previous laboratory experience preferred, especially in genomics or molecular biology
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
