About the role

This part-time position maintains consistent attention to the entrance of the restaurant, ensuring a welcoming and high-quality experience for all guests.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all guests with a smile and appropriate greeting following customer service standards.
• Record customer reservations or seating times in a consistent manner.
• Set tables with appropriate silverware, glass, and china; maintain a neat and clean work station during service.
• Seat guests and present the menu and any specials according to company standards.
• Oversee the delivery and servicing of food and beverages.
• Communicate with wait staff and other restaurant personnel to ensure guests' experience meets company standards.
• Perform cashier and/or bus person tasks as required, including cashing out guests' checks to speed up service.
• Understand and follow cash handling policies and procedures; maintain proper security of cash at all times.
• Patrol assigned station, removing service items and condiments per establishment procedures.
• Perform other duties during downtime, such as rolling silverware, expediting food orders, washing dishes, preparing food for To-go areas, and cleaning/filling table condiments (salt & pepper, sugar, napkins, sriracha, and soy sauce bottles).
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Requirements

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
• Requires the ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers.
