Genetic Counselor, Cardiac

About the role

Join a dynamic team as a Genetic Counselor, providing genetic counseling, test coordination, and follow-up for patients within a leading heart institute. Your role includes supporting referring providers and the clinical team, delivering genetics education and outreach, and participating in genetics program activities.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling or equivalent from an accredited program
• At least 1 year of genetic counseling experience
• Preferred experience in cardiology and/or clinical genetic counseling
• Proficiency with Epic and Progeny software is a plus
• ABGC Board Certification in Genetic Counseling and valid Genetic Counselor License for the state of Georgia are required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive genetic counseling and test coordination
• Support clinical team and referring providers
• Engage in genetics education, outreach, and program activities
