About the Role
This is a routine testing role focused on the genetic characterization of cell lines expressing therapeutic proteins. The work is highly collaborative, requiring excellent communication skills and a desire to be part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform molecular biology activities demonstrating genetic and epigenetic foundations of cellular phenotypes, including nucleic acid extractions, ddPCR, RT-PCR, PCR, Next Generation Sequencing library preparation, Northern blotting, Southern blotting, and molecular cloning.
- Conduct mammalian cell culture and maintain aseptic techniques.
- Design experiments, analyze data, and troubleshoot issues.
- Participate in project teams and maintain detailed records.
Requirements
- Minimum of a PhD in Biotechnology, Cell Biology, or other scientific-related fields (consideration given to relevant experience).
- Experience with mammalian cell culture, aseptic technique, nucleic acid extraction, Next Generation Sequencing library preparation, ddPCR, and PCR.
- Northern and Southern Blotting experience preferred but not required.
- Authorization for employment in the United States.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
