About the role
Genesis Tech Certified, Genesis Tech Expert, and Genesis Tech Master positions are available at Benzel-Busch Family of Dealerships. We are seeking skilled technicians to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Use specialized diagnostic equipment and software to identify and troubleshoot issues with vehicle systems, including the engine, transmission, electrical systems, and onboard computer systems.
- Perform a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks, such as engine repairs, brake replacements, suspension work, and regular maintenance services like oil changes and tire rotations.
- When necessary, replace worn or damaged parts with genuine Genesis components to ensure the vehicle's reliability and safety.
- With the increasing integration of technology in Genesis vehicles, technicians may also be responsible for updating software and firmware to address performance issues and enhance vehicle features.
- Adhere to manufacturer specifications and quality control standards to ensure that all repairs and maintenance are carried out accurately and safely.
- Interact directly with customers, explaining repair recommendations, providing estimates, and addressing any concerns or questions regarding the vehicle's condition.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings, to facilitate billing, warranty claims, and future reference.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, along with specialized automotive training and certification.
- Prior experience as an automotive technician is preferred, and experience specifically with Genesis vehicles is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment and a deep understanding of vehicle systems and mechanics is essential.
- Technicians hold ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications or equivalent credentials.
- Precision and attention to detail are critical to accurately diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems.
- Adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment are paramount.

- Monday to Friday schedule with holidays and weekends if needed
- Sign-On Bonus Opportunity: $2,500 - $10,000 based on experience and employment duration
