Transmission (Substation Design) Engineer

About the role

As the successful candidate, you will get to use your creativity to help design substations and switching stations while also assisting with system protection functions. Have an impact by helping Sunflower achieve the lowest cost, most reliable, and environmentally sound electric transmission and substation infrastructure possible.

Responsibilities

• Design substations and switching stations
• Assist with system protection functions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Industry experience varies dependent upon the engineering level (I‑Senior)
• Successful completion of the Fundamental Engineering Exam is preferred for Engineer I
• Professional Engineer license is preferred for Engineer II and Senior Engineer
