Transmission Builder Technician

About the Role

As a Transmission Builder, you will be responsible for the disassembly, assembly, and diagnosis of automatic transmissions, including teardown, troubleshooting, pricing, and ordering parts.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and assemble automatic transmissions
• Diagnose transmission issues and perform teardowns
• Troubleshoot mechanical and technical problems
• Price and order necessary parts
• Handle related duties as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum five years of experience building 4, 5, and 6-speed automatic transmissions
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to handle hazardous materials

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Work in varying environmental conditions
